Heating Systems

Keeping Warm

There are several different types of heating systems we use to heat our houses, they have become much simpler in design over the last few years with the rise in popularity of combination boilers. With a combination boiler, everything is incorporated inside the boiler, the pump and control circuits are all inside. With a conventional boiler, space is required for the external controls and equipment. This is normally inside an airing cupboard. A system boiler still requires the airing cupboard space, but you lose the need for one small tank in the loft.

Combination Boiler versus Conventional Boiler in your House

Conventional boilers still have a large demand in the marketplace, especially for larger homes, and for those with greater hot water requirements. If you have a larger home, you probably have the space for the extra equipment needed, so you won't worry about limited loft space or airing cupboard space.
