Poor hot water flow

Postby Bryan » Mon Aug 15, 2016 10:52 am

I have a problem with my ferroli optimax boiler. The hot water works but only when trickling out the tap. If the tap is turned on faster (but not fully) the water temperature drops. Had been working well for 4 years.

Hello and a warm welcome to the forum
The flow sensor is a common problem with this model, when the tap is running, observe the digital display on the boiler, there should be 3 flames to the right hand side. This indicates full demand. Sometimes the flow switch connection gets damp and this causes the boiler to stay on low demand, and only 1 small flame is shown instead of the 3 'nested' flames.
